Six hikers who have been trapped within the snow at about 9,000 toes on Mt. Baldy have been airlifted to security Wednesday, authorities mentioned.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff‘s Division’s Air Rescue Group retrieved the hikers, the division posted on social media. A video of the rescue on Bear Canyon Path posted on X, previously often known as Twitter, reveals the hikers strolling throughout a snow-covered slope to a helicopter.
The rescue got here days after the stays of lacking 22-year-old hiker, Lifei “Ada” Huang, have been discovered on Mt. Baldy within the Angeles Nationwide Forest. The El Monte resident had disappeared after going climbing alone on Feb. 4 simply as historic winter storms hit Southern California.
