An early morning residence invasion Tuesday in Newport Seashore ended with one alleged intruder being shot and one other dying from what police consider was a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Newport Seashore police say the victims and suspects within the incident have a previous connection, however gave no additional particulars.

At 4:45 a.m., police responded to a 911 name of a doable residence invasion close to Newport Coast Drive and Pelican Hill Highway North. The house gave the impression to be on the finish of Vista Luci, a cul-de-sac, KABC-TV reported.
