WASHINGTON — No Labels, the centrist political group that sought to shake up the 2024 presidential marketing campaign with a third-party candidate to rival Joe Biden and Donald Trump, stated Thursday it wouldn’t discipline a candidate in any case.

“People stay extra open to an unbiased presidential run and hungrier for unifying nationwide management than ever earlier than,” No Labels founder Nancy Jacobson stated in a press release. “However No Labels has at all times stated we might solely provide our poll line to a ticket if we might establish candidates with a reputable path to profitable the White Home. No such candidates emerged, so the accountable plan of action is for us to face down.”

The choice to not discipline a presidential ticket is a boon for Democrats who had complained {that a} centrist candidate would play spoiler to Biden’s probabilities of profitable.
